This Buffalo milk Gorgonzola from Lombardy is made with pasteurized milk and aged for 3-4 months. It is the kissing cousin to cow's milk Gorgonzola, made from the same recipe, but the buffalo milk makes it more substantial... heavier, creamier and sweeter.  Not your mother's gorgonzola!  This is a great dessert cheese but it will not disappoint in any other company... on peasant bread, with a hearty vegetable soup, or even tossed into scrambled eggs.
