Oriol is a pasteurized Buffalo Milk cheese made in Catalonia, Spain from buffalo grazing in the L'Emporda Nature Reserve--recent expats from Italy. It is aged for 20 days and has a fuzzy grey mottled rind which opens to present a slightly crumbly interior with a delicate fresh flavor. It is aged for 20 days and when you spread it it surprises you with creaminess. Young and sweet, it is a perfect partner for fresh fruit.
